For your Christmas Eve consumption

Christmas Eve fondue has been a tradition for my family for as long as I can remember, certainly before my sister was born so definately well before we found out she couldn’t cook. I devised this fondue for us a few years ago. It’s simple, yummy and since my sister is currently stranded in Denver, something she can make herself for Christmas Eve dessert.

Chocolate Fondue Even My Sister Could Make

12 oz milk chocloate, chopped or chips
5 oz dark or bittersweet chocolate, chopped or chips
1 c. heavy cream
2 T butter
1 t vanilla
1/4 c. kahlua
pinch salt

Heat cream, butter and vanilla in a small saucepan until it almost comes to a boil. Remove from heat and whisk in chocolates, kahlua and salt. Serve warm in a desert fondue pot with anything you like; pound cake, oreos, strawberries, bananas, kiwi, pretzels, rice crispie bars, cheesecake or brownies.
